Porto San Giorgio.

Only 35 minutes from "Casa Renzo" on the Adriatic coast is the delightful seaside resort of Porto San Giorgio.

Porto San Giorgio is a port with a marina and a road that runs the full length of the town along the coast.

The centre of Porto San Giorgio bustles with people and up-market shops selling fashion clothes, sun glasses, jewellery etc. There are many cafe bars surrounding the main square and restaraunts are plentiful and serve the most wonderful fresh fish dishes.

On the opposite side of the road to the main beach area are bars, restaraunts and cafes, all typically Italian.

The main tree lined square is surrounded by shops and cafes. Please note that most shops are closed from around 3pm to 6pm, but then come alive again on an evening until around 9-10pm.

Many of the locals stroll out on an evening with their family's looking their best and chatting to others. This daily ceremony is known as the "Passiagata" and is common throughout Italy.
